With a long history in the AEC community, Rebecca brings a unique perspective to the field of renewable energy & architectural design.
Her design experience ranges from award-winning hospitality & corporate design to coordinating the design & installation of 200+ on-site commercial solar projects for Minnesota schools, cities and private businesses.
Commercial Solar Pioneer
Rebecca's commercial solar journey dates back to 2010, when the MN solar scene was just starting to shine.
Rebecca has led in the fast-paced solar industry, building an exceptional engineering department, setting new standards for documentation, and driving architectural coordination for integrated PV solar on new construction. She stays ahead of trends, navigating policy changes, shaping strategies, and implementing solar educational programs statewide.
My passions ran parallel for most of my career.
DesignWell is where they converge.
Land Steward & Environmental Design
Her special interest in ecology and land stewardship led her to study indigenous agriculture and food sovereignty in Central America, where she gained experience in resource management, off-grid renewable energy, and natural building. She has implemented this knowledge locally by developing an urban agriculture plan for the Downtown Improvement District and serving on the Minneapolis Food Council to promote food equity and eliminate barriers for food-related small-business growth in Minneapolis.
Award Winning Interior Designer
Rebecca’s interior design experience spans twenty years and ranges from award-winning hospitality & corporate design to performing LEED certifications on both new construction and existing business operations.
As a LEED accredited and NCIDQ certified professional, Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Iowa State University and a Design Certificate from the Permaculture Research Institute.
